Go English, Go Social!

Social Networks: Curse or Blessing? No matter what your answer is now, if you think carefully, you will make a social network a useful place.
We study foreign languages to communicate. We can start right away. Let’s try SharedTalk. The source is positioned as a place for “language exchange”. You will find a person who is a native speaker of your target language but will be required to help those who study your native language.

Babbel is another portal that provides opportunity to practice different languages alongside the access to interactive online course.
Another good educational resource is Busuu. The courses are divided into lessons and you choose your own pace to study. Another advantage of the resource is the availability of native speakers to help. What I mean to say is all the writing works you do can be checked by natives if you want to. Plus there is an opportunity of real time communication.
Talking about writing English… Try Lang-8 where you can insert your own text and ask naitive speakers to check it. InterPals is another resource to practice written English mostly. It’s a community rather than educational portal, but it provides great opportunities to find pen pals and communicate with them regularly.
One more resource I would definitely advise is LinguaLeo. First of all, it’s a mine of information: videos, recordings, texts, grammar tasks and opportunities to monitor your own progress.
I hope you will find something that will sit your needs.
